KELLY ANTOINE: When a patient calls our office to set up an appointment, we'll get some information from them over the phone. We will try to get them in in a timely manner, as quick as possible, and when they do come in for that appointment, we are going to have them see their doctor for a complete exam and X-rays. And after that, we will get them set up with a hygienist to have their teeth cleaned.
JOANNE HANNA: When it comes to financing we offer a couple of different options. It would depend a lot on if the patient has insurance or not. We would pre-authorize the work to be done and know right up front what the patient was responsible for. And I think communication is the key, to communicate with the patient, let them know what the expectations are financially.
We let them know as soon as the pre authorization comes back what they have to pay and when they have to pay it. And usually, we ask for half of that on the prep visit and half of it at the insert. If it's not possible for them to do that, we will sometimes stretch it out for three months on a payment plan.
We will work with the patient as much as possible. If they need to have dental work done, we want them to have it done so we will work with them. And a lot of our patients have been coming here for so many years that we know them. WE know that they're, you know, responsible, and they'll take the responsibility so we work with them however we can.
