WIN: Before I came here I had not very attractive teeth, and I came here originally to have crown repair because my husband was coming here and he said he's a great dentist. So I came here to have him fix one crown, but he didn't want to just fix one crown. He said if we're going to fix it, this is what I would suggest you do. There were four crowns across the front, and they didn't actually match well, and they weren't in line well. And so he wanted to replace all four of them. They were old. And he suggested also because of the way I smiled, my teeth were small and I showed a lot of gum and so he said that we could do gum surgery. And what he did was he cut back the gum so that my teeth would go up farther so that when I smiled I showed teeth instead of gum.

I was somewhat self conscious. I have photographs. He made me pictures because he takes pictures when he does the surgery so I have the before and after picture. And it's just amazing how funny it is, absolutely a different person. I think Dr. Martin is probably like an artist of a dentist. People say to me, that's so much work, and it costs so much money. But in the end, I still feel like they're my own teeth. I don't have to put them in a glass at night, and that's important to me.
