EMILE MARTIN, D.D.S.: We have two locations, one in Syracuse on Erie Boulevard East, 3150. It's a larger facility. It's the primary practice. There are five general practitioners here and an orthodontist on a part-time basis, and there are about 30 staff members here in addition to the doctors.

The satellite office is in Auburn. It's called Auburn Dental Associates. It's run on the same premises for systems that we use for this office in Syracuse, and there are about 10 staff members there as well as a doctor full time and myself and the orthodontist is there two days a month.

The philosophy is the same. Again, the idea is to provide comprehensive care to patients with value. We try to provide them as much help with their insurance as we possible can. Some plans we participate with, others we don't, but we will submit the insurance claims for them under most circumstances when we can be reimbursed directly by the plan.

It's a group practice so there's always here. Even if I'm away one day, one of my patients can still be seen. We have 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. office hours, which we think are convenient for most people in our community. The fact that we are here as a group means that patients can be seen regardless of whom they normally see if we're out. For emergency services, the same thing holds true. That doesn't mean that we don't try to keep the doctor and the patient together all the time. That's the preference, but if I don't do a particular procedure and one of my associates does, then we have internal referral within the practice.
